Absolutely. SalonBird is a Dutch company, but the platform is built for ambitious salons everywhere. The full interface, support and communication are available in Dutch and English, and we welcome salon owners from across Europe.
SalonBird is modern and affordable. We offer a complete solution without expensive add-ons or complex configuration. You also get your own booking page and microsite - something other systems often charge extra for.
Nothing. You can try every feature free for 30 days. No credit card required. After that from €11.99 per month for the Basic plan, with options for Pro (€17.99) and Business (€39.99).
Pricing and payments.
When you sign up, you pick the plan that fits your salon. You then get 30 days free access to every feature in that plan. No credit card required. During the trial you can switch plans at any time.
We offer three plans: Basic (€11.99/mo) for solo entrepreneurs, Pro (€17.99/mo) for growing salons with up to 5 staff members, and Business (€39.99/mo) with everything unlimited. All plans come with a 30-day free trial.
Yes, you can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. When you downgrade, your current plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
After the trial you pick a subscription to continue. Without a subscription your account is paused temporarily, but your data stays safely stored. As soon as you pick a plan, you have full access again.
No. Our pricing is fully transparent. You only pay your monthly or yearly subscription plus the SalonBird Pay transaction fee (1 to 4% depending on your plan) and standard Stripe processing fees (€0.29 per iDEAL payment or 1.5% + €0.25 per card payment).
Stripe charges €0.29 per iDEAL payment and 1.5% + €0.25 per card payment (European cards). These are standard Stripe processing fees on top of the SalonBird platform fee. You receive payouts directly to your bank account via Stripe.
No. Every plan can be cancelled monthly. With a yearly subscription you get a discount and can cancel at the end of the year. No long-term contracts or termination fees.
Plan limits are enforced on the server. If you try to use a feature that is not in your plan, you get a clear notice with the option to upgrade.
Calendar and bookings.
Every salon gets its own booking page at yoursalon.salonbird.com. Customers can pick a service, staff member and time slot 24/7 and book directly. You receive a notification and the appointment lands in your calendar.
Yes, customers receive a confirmation email with a link to reschedule or cancel their appointment. You can configure how many hours in advance this is possible.
When your calendar is full, customers can join the waitlist. When a spot opens up, they are notified automatically. Available in the Pro and Business plan.
Yes, in the Pro and Business plan customers can combine multiple services into a single booking. The system calculates total duration and price automatically.
The calendar offers day and week views with drag and drop. You can move appointments easily, see every staff member at a glance and add blocks for breaks or other activities.
Yes, Autopilot sends automatic reminders by email at the time you configure. This significantly reduces no-shows.
Features.
Autopilot is a set of automations that runs in the background. It sends appointment reminders, review requests after visits, inactive-customer campaigns, waitlist notifications, and can automatically cancel unconfirmed bookings.
A microsite is a complete website for your salon inside SalonBird. It contains 8 pages: home, about, services, team, gallery, reviews, contact and booking. Available in Pro and Business plans.
After a visit, Autopilot can automatically send a review request. Customers leave a star rating and write a review. Positive reviews can be forwarded to Google or Trustpilot. Reviews are shown on your microsite.
With peak pricing you can set surcharges for busy times or days. For example a surcharge on Saturday morning. Available in Pro and Business plans.
When customers repeatedly no-show, the system can automatically require a deposit on their next booking. The customer pays a deposit that is settled against the treatment. Available in Pro and Business plans.
Yes, SalonBird has 35+ granular permission settings. You can decide exactly which staff member can see and do what. From calendar management to financial insights.
Security and privacy.
Absolutely. We use enterprise-grade security with SSL/TLS encryption, secured servers and automatic backups. All your data is stored within the EU.
Yes. SalonBird is fully GDPR compliant. Customer data is processed and stored in line with GDPR. You can export and delete customer data whenever you need to.
Yes, you can export customer data as CSV. Your data is always yours and you always have access to it.
Yes, we automatically take daily backups of all data. In case of a technical issue, your data can always be restored.
